‘Young Chamber and Interact club worked closely together to deliver the third Murder Mystery event to raise money for AICM and SUDEP. They worked incredibly hard and raised slightly in excess of £1200 towards their respective charity.
Invicta’s Annual Murder Mystery Night began with the guests dressed in their finest. They were acting as members of the Kent police constabulary attending a dinner and ball. After a pleasant drinks reception, dinner commenced, and an investigation was announced into a murdered member of the band The Angry Alleycats who were hired as entertainment for the night. As the guests were being scored on their skills of interrogation of the band, a second murder was announced! The guests rushed quickly to the scene of the murder to investigate the body. This was the commencement of the second round of interrogation, where the guests were given clues and worked in teams to try and deduce who was the murderer. In the meantime the students began serving the 3 course dinner
After the quiz round concluded, another murder was discovered! This began to help the guests to cement their theories about the true murderer. Another set of clues were given to the guests, who used these within their teams to narrow down the suspects. After this the raffle was drawn and prizes were announced. The lead detective then went around the teams to find out who they thought was the murderer. She then declared the true murderer and announced the winners of the event.
Overall the night was a real success, with both the guests and the students thoroughly enjoying themselves. We would like to thank Miss Pope and Mrs Bennett for all their help with the event, and the 'Make a Killing' cast for a great performance.’
