£50,421 raised by Invicta for Charity!!!

Mrs Rivers sent us this report:

We have enjoyed another successful year of fundraising at Invicta Grammar School.  This year’s total has been shared with a range of charities both locally, nationally and internationally!  In the final assembly of the academic year cheques were presented to the chosen RAG charities for 2016-17 including:

Porchlight, Make a Wish,The Lollipop Fund, King’s College Hospital, and MIND.

We were pleased to present each charity with a cheque for £2606.77 in our final assembly.    A huge range of additional cheques were also presented including donations to The Royal Marsden Hospital of £3656.00 following a range of events in memory of our former student Amanda Slann.  We were so pleased to share our success with Amanda’s Mum who joined us once again for the final assembly.

Young Chamber have worked particularly hard on fundraising this year raising an amazing amount of £11,331.00 which will be shared with SUDEP, Dementia UK and War Child charities.  Students at Invicta are also very excited as they have continued to raise funds for the Guide Dogs Association.  Our students were particularly pleased to see Paul return with Pedro the dog in our final assembly, ably joined by David Chandler with his dog Gordon.  We were proud to present them with a cheque for £2550.05 for the Guide Dogs Association.

We are very proud of the hard work both our students and staff put in to fundraising activities throughout the year at Invicta Grammar School and we will endeavour to continue this work with our local, national and international communities for many years to come.  This year, I am pleased to inform you of our fundraising total which, at the end of the year amounts to a total of £50,421 AMAZING! This is another record breaking amount. All funds raised will be benefitting so many worthwhile causes and I am grateful for everyone’s continued commitment to fundraising.

Well done and thank you to all students, staff and parents for their dedication to charity fund raising this year.
