Examination Results

Invicta Grammar School’s students achieve fantastic A level and GCSE results 2023

Invicta is thrilled for their students’ future once again, as Year 13 students achieved an outstanding set of exam results. Over 40% of all grades were A* or grades and more than a sixth of all grades were A*. Year 11 students also achieved an excellent set of exam results that allowed them to choose from a plethora of A level subjects to study in the Sixth Form. This is reflected in the recent performance data published by the Government which ranks Invicta Grammar School as well above average with a Progress 8 score of +0.52 and an Attainment 8 score of 65.9.

These grades reflect the dedication and hard work of our students. We are especially proud of our students as they were able to achieve these wonderful results despite the numerous disruptions that they would have faced throughout their education. This cohort of students has shown huge resilience and persistence in maintaining their focus and extremely high levels of work ethic during these incredibly challenging years. Our examination results are an apt reflection of this parental confidence.

The Invicta community enjoyed celebrating exam results on both the GCSE and A level results days with our students and their families. We were also thrilled that a very large number of students from grammar schools and high schools all over Kent were keen to join our excellent Sixth form following the GCSE results days. It was a joy to meet with so many fine young people who have been working hard to secure a place in our Sixth Form. We look forward to the two year journey ahead that we know our new Year 12 students will thoroughly enjoy.

Van Beales, Headteacher, commented “I am extremely proud and excited about the wonderful futures for our students, given the outstanding examination results that they have achieved this year. Our mission is to give students the best life choices and our students will go places with these excellent results. This is a testament to the hard work of our young people who strive to be the best that they can be, and to the dedicated teachers who inspired and supported them. I am also grateful for the invaluable support of our parents. I am proud of our partnership which has greatly benefited our hard-working students.

“Our students have yet again risen to the challenge of combining their own academic achievement with charitable work, to not only give themselves the best possible opportunities moving forward but also to improve the lives of others in their local, national and international communities. This year, Invicta students raised over £30,000 for charity.”
